Dates for your Doggy’s Diary!

It’s January so the perfect time to fill your diaries up with lots of doggy related events you and your four-legged pal can go to across London!


Gaucho Hampstead: Sunday 4th Feb 12:00 – 16:00 – If your dog is partial to a spot of brunch this could be the place to go! Your dog will feel like royalty here. Not only will the booking be made in their name, they will be greeted with the red-carpet treatment, a personalised bowl full of homemade doggy treats and guess what…it’s all FREE, for your dog that is, you’ll still have to pay for your meal!

London Pug Parade (Location TBC): Saturday 10th Feb – Pug fan? Why not head on down to London’s first Pug Parade! Location and timing are still to be confirmed but there’s fun to be had for all the family, including your Pug of course! There will be activities you and your four-legged friend can take part in together, local and independent food traders selling human and doggy goodies- just incase you want to treat the dog in your life. There will also be some charities there, so you can find out about the work they do.

All Dogs Matter Valentines Dog Walk Hampstead: Sunday 11th Feb 11:00 – 14:00 – Feeling the love on the most romantic weekend of the year, then who better to spend it with than your beloved furbaby! All Dogs Matter are hosting their eighth annual Valentines Dog Walk on Hampstead Heath. It’s £5.00 per dog to join in and registration is at 10:30. You can pre-register your dog by emailing Happy walking!

Dogs Unite Walking The Dog Day for Guide Dogs (Location ANYWHERE): Thursday 22nd Februay All day – If you’re reading this list of doggy events, chances are you own a dog and if you happen to be walking it on this date, why not participate in this event and raise some money for Guide Dogs! It’s free to enter and what’s even better is you don’t have to travel anywhere to take part in it, you can do it in your local area! The idea is for you to take your dog on a sponsored walk, they’ll even be able to sport a hero’s cape which you can get here by registering for your fundraising pack The challenge is to raise £35.00, the cost of supporting a Guide Dog for a week but any amount you can fundraise will be greatly appreciated!


Sausage Walk London Greenwich Park: Sunday 18th March 13:00 – 16:00 – A park full of sausage dogs…yes please! Mildred the sausage has arranged this walk for all her sausage friends old and new. The meeting point is Greenwich Park at 13:00, their little legs then take them on a walk around the park, heading to the Kings Arms pub afterwards for a much needed rest for their little paws.


Haringey dog show with Dogs Trust and All Dogs Matter: Sunday 15th April 10:00 – 14:00 – Info is yet to be released but keep the date free in your diary!

Great British Dog Walk Windsor Great Park: Saturday 28th April 10:00 – 16:00 – Hosted by Hearing Dogs for People, this event looks like it will be fun for all the family. There will be activities and stalls with gifts, homemade crafts and refreshments. Cost is £10.00 per adult, kids under 16 go free. The walks take in the spectacular views of Windsor Castle and Cow Pond. This is a great event to help raise money for hearing dogs.


Great Hampstead Bark Off Hampstead Heath: Sunday 13th May 11:00 – 16:00 – Further information is yet to be released but keep your eyes peeled on the All Dogs Matter website. Sounds like it’s going to be a fun day!

Mayhew Open Day: Sunday 13th May 11:00 – 16:00 – If you’re looking to add a four-legged friend to your family, Mayhew animal home are opening their doors and welcoming you to come and visit the fur babies who are looking for their furever homes. Not just for dog lovers, their cattery will also be open for you to see their cats who are waiting for homes too. They’ll also be a veggie BBQ, drinks, live music and garden games!


Bring Your Dog To Work Day Location – Your work: Friday 22nd June All Day – For those of you who would love to take your furbabies to work with you then this is the perfect opportunity for you to convince your boss, to let your dog come to work for the day! That’s right, you read correctly! Not only do you get to spend the day with your four-legged friend, you also get to raise funds for All Dogs Matter and Animals Asia. HOWND are the ones behind this fabulous idea. All you need to do is register online to participate and make a donation

Muddy Dog Challenge: Saturday 30th June and Sunday 1st July Windsor Great Park 09:00 – 17:00 – Fancy taking part in an obstacle course with your dog? Now you can, a muddy challenge that is! Battersea Dogs and Cats Home are hosting this fun packed event and you can help to raise money through sponsorship, for the dogs and cats at Battersea.


Dog Factor Finsbury Park: Sunday 5th August 14:30 – 17:00 – Organised by All Dogs Matter, Dog Factor is the perfect chance for you to showcase your talented dogs off! Check their website for further info.


Pupaid Primrose Hill: Saturday 1st September 10:00 –  18:00 – Pupaid returns to Primrose Hill this September for its eighth year. We visited last year, and it was a great day. This is an event not to be missed! There’s plenty of fun activities for you and your pooch to take part in, whilst raising awareness against puppy farming.

That’s a lot of fun stuff to keep you and your pooch entertained for the next few months! Have fun!
